Ecommerce is growing at a fast pace in India. The big advantage of ecommerce is that you can read the reviews of the product and buy from your comfort of your home. As a buyer, you will be eligible for free returns and attractive discounts.
Normally, companies offer discounts in the form of coupons. You need to provide the coupon code while placing an order and the final amount will be displayed on the order confirmation page.
Zoutons is an exclusive website which provides active coupon codes of various ecommerce companies. If you visit the home page, you will view a dialog box which prompts you to subscribe to their emails. However, this process is optional.
The home page of Zoutons consists of a slider which displays popular deals.
The home page provides a list of popular coupons below the slider.
You will be able to view a series of latest coupons in 3 rows. It consists of coupons from popular portals such as Jabong, Snapdeal, Flipkart, Basics Life, Amazon and few other vendors who are not much popular among dimers.
The home page doesn’t display coupon codes. If you want to view the codes, you should select either “Get the code” or “Activate Deal” button.
For instance, if you select Activate Deal button below Amazon.in, you will be taken directly to the Amazon page where you can navigate for the products. You will also view a separate Zouton page with list of all active deals.
Amazon doesn’t supply coupon codes. Hence, you should select the relevant button which will enable you to view the product page on Amazon.
As you can see in the above screenshot, Zouton provides user rating for each ecommerce vendor. From my point of view, this will help buyers to judge from whom they should purchase products.
You should be careful while purchasing products through online. Some not so popular ecommerce vendors will give you attractive discounts but will cheat you by not shipping the item. Moreover, you should verify whether the concerned ecommerce website has a real contact and support facility.
Popular ecommerce companies such as Flipkart, Amazon, Jabong, Myntra has excellent support facility. While Flipkart provides a toll free number, Amazon provides live chat facility using which you can communicate with the support staff in real time.
The sidebar located on the right side of the individual store page displays a list of popular coupons followed by a list of similar and popular stores.
If you navigate to the bottom of the Zoutons home page, you will be able to view a list of most popular stores.
The Zouton home page includes a long search box on the top side where you can input name of your favourite store. The site will then display the coupon codes.
As soon as you enter the name of the store, the search engine displays it. You can select to get all the coupon codes associated with that site.
As you can see, I have only entered the search term “flip”. The resulting result also displays the number of coupon codes available for Flipkart.
The navigation panel enables you to browse the site using relevant categories. The top stores menu enables you to quickly navigate to the popular store for coupon codes.
Zoutons also provide a list of top banks, which provide coupon codes for their customers. Nowadays, banks such as ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank supply coupon codes of various popular ecommerce stores exclusively for their customers.
Zoutons doesn’t list any coupon code for ebay. I feel that this is due to the fact that coupons are tied to each individual email. Hence, you will not be eligible to get any discounts if you use a coupon code meant for another customer.
If you run an ecommerce company, you can also submit coupon codes by selecting Submitting a Coupon link located on the bottom of the site.
Zoutons is a great website to look at if you actively purchase products from various ecommerce companies.
