Microsoft is on the verge of coming back as per the 22 page document titled, Righting a Wrong released by Goldman Sachs. The document examines Microsoft’s latest business and the changes the company has made including future growth opportunities.
The research document makes a critical analysis of Microsoft’s core businesses of Azure, Windows and Office and believes that the future looks bright for the company.
Goldman Sachs examines the effect of cloud computing through its Office 365 platform and also praises the work done by its CEO Satya Nadella and CFO Amy Hood.
The report says that there is a considerable opportunities available for expansion of Microsoft Office. Moreover, there is a huge demand for mobile devices and emerging markets and praises the move to increase prices for Office E5 (aimed at businesses) which Nadella believes could generate as much as $50 billion (£33 billion) in revenue.
The report highlights the role of Azure and the value it brings to the table despite stiff competition from Google and Amazon.
