  1. This list is very useful for me as my son is in his growing age and I am looking for such books which not only helps him to gather knowledge but turns equally interesting for him to read. Thank you so much.

  2. Rapidfire and Competition Success Review were very popular during my schooltime. Good to see they have last for decades. I haven’t read a GK book in years, maybe I will check out Hachette and Scholastic, just to see how I have progressed in my knowledge of the world around me.

  3. There was a very popular General Knowledge monthly magazine called Pratiyogita Darpan. Also, Manorama Year Book. It used to be one of the most authentic books back then. Others sound new to me.

  4. That’s a very helpful list Anand! My list only had Manorma Year book and Competition Success review , I shall now add the other three suggested by you to keep abreast of Current affairs and GK.

  5. A very helpful list indeed…I had known only about Manorama so taking note from here. I think we talk a lot about fiction and come up with listicles but reading general knowledge stuff carries immense importance in a student’s life!

  6. Manorama is really helpful I have heard but others were new for me. I will definitely share this with my book club members who are preparing.
