Evan Blass, SmartPhone Leaker Announces Retirement via @evleaks

Rumours will not last for long time. Evan Blass, the guy who posts information about new smartphones manufactured by popular companies such as HTC, LG, Motorola, Sony, Microsoft and others has announced retirement and will not post any tweets going forward.

“That’s great news for Samsung, HTC, LG, Microsoft and the host of other companies who, at some point or another, have had word of a new product get out early, and without permission, via @evleaks”, mentions The Next Web.

Blass became famous because he used to tweet the screenshots and other details of the phones prior to its official release. Several leading technology based websites used to keep an eye on his twitter feeds so that they can break hot news as and when it gets tweeted.

When The Next Web reporter, Jon Russel asked Blass about how he get inside information of pre-release phones:

Good sources, good colleagues to bounce ideas off of, and good luck.

Although Blass has posted only 1,466 tweets, he has got 187K followers.

“Numerous times, but maybe not as many as some people might suspect. Several of them have been quite public and somewhat publicized, to the point that they probably need not bear repeating here”, he said in reply to a query as to whether companies are affected by his tweets.

According to reports coming in, Blass also made an attempt to build a website featuring leak information which turned to be unsuccessful.
