Microsoft has released Microsoft Azure for Student Developers via Microsoft Imagine program, which enable students not only to take advantage of the power of the cloud but also explore and expand their development skills in the cloud.

Microsoft is of the opinion that student developers are growing in large numbers. Hence, they need to leverage cloud services to deliver cool and modern experiences. Microsoft Azure will be suitable for students to host their projects and personal websites since it enable students to create and develop websites and web apps very easily.

Microsoft Azure for Student Developers is available in 140 countries for free. There is no need to provide credit card information in order to sign up.

Azure App Service Web Apps enables students to build, deploy and scale web apps in seconds irrespective of programming language such as ASP.NET, Java, PHP, Node.js or Python.

Microsoft Azure for Student Developers includes Application Insights, which provides students 360 degree view across availability, performance and usage of ASP.NET services and mobile applications for Windows Phone, iOS and Android.

With the recent development, students will be able to work with Visual Studio Online without having to install or configure a single server.

“I am passionate about student developers – and the incredible innovations they are bringing to the world. In that light I could not be happier to provide access to tools that help students unlock that innovation through this new offering. I cannot wait to see what comes next,” said Guggs, Program Manager, Microsoft Azure.

Microsoft Azure for Student Developers empowers students to test all functions of Azure platform free of cost. I would suggest teachers and educators to spread awareness about Student Developers program.
