Apple has delayed the release of an update for watchOS 2 since a bug was found during the testing phase. This is the first major update to watchOS, which is used to run smartwatch gadgets. Actually, the release was planned along the side lines of iOS 9 release, which is the latest version of Apple iPhone software.
The new update to watchOS 2 enable users to run apps directly on the device. As of now, watch apps run on the iPhone and broadcasted to the watch, which is considered as a major cause for the performance lags.
Apple has not yet disclosed the kind of bug they discovered. However, an Apple spokeswoman who refused to reveal her identity confirmed the delay to Learnxpress.
We have discovered a bug in development of watchOS 2 that is taking a bit longer to fix than we expected. We will not release watchOS 2 today but will shortly.
The company refused to disclose the approximate date of release of watchOS 2 smartwatch.
“The Apple Watch is like the Apple TV. They want to be in the business even though consumers aren’t ready to embrace it, and the product isn’t really ready,” said Nancy Marsh, Tech Enthusiast.
Apple has however released iOS9 on Wednesday as scheduled. The company sources reveal that the new update could attract more developers to create apps for the device, which will be available on the market from April 2016.
