Microsoft has introduced Visual Studio Tools for Apache Cordova in an open documentation model to help developers to create an
amazing hybrid mobile app development experience. You should remember that Microsoft’s contribution to the Cordova community is the Visual Studio 2015 Tools for Apache Cordova.
Microsoft recently migrated all the documentation to a central location – http://taco.visualstudio.com to avoid confusion. The articles are automatically captured from the GitHub repo and processes them into a navigatable website.
The new website includes a new guide in the Get Started section to enable beginners to code quickly. You will be able to learn the steps required to install, code and deploy your first hybrid app.
Developers will be able to post their feedback via comments section below each article. Moreover, you can also contribute to Github repo in case if you want to submit any changes or additions. A pull request can also be created as part of feedback. Alternatively, developers will be able to share feedback via UserVoice, Send-a-smile, Twitter, StackOverflow or email.
Microsoft will be constantly update the site with new walkthroughs, tutorials and samples. The main aim is to make the site the one stop shop for Cordova app development.
