Finally, the wait is over. Microsoft has announced the final release date of Visual Studio 2015 RTM, Team Foundation Server 2015 and .NET Framework 4.6. Visual Studio 2015 will be a big release and will be available for download on July 20, 2015.
In addition to Windows, ASP.NET and ASP.NET MVC applications, Visual Studio 2015 will target cross-platform mobile development platforms such as iOS, Android, Windows, Unity, Unreal and Cocos. The IDE redefines developer productivity with proactive diagnostics tooling and the new Roslyn language services for C# and VB.
According to official sources, the new tools embrace DevOps with great agile backlog management, Azure cloud tooling, hosted continuous integration and Application Insights across all the components of your application.
Microsoft is conducting an online event on July 20 to celebrate the release of Visual Studio 2015 RTM. You will have an opportunity to engage in live, fruitful and interactive sessions directly with the engineering team. There will be 60 on-demand video sessions which will be shared on the official Channel9 portal.
