Telerik DevCraft Adds Mobile UI Tool Advancements

Telerik DevCraft also adds new mobile UI tool advancements, which includes a new AutoComplete TestView in UI for iOS and enhancements to ListView and DataForm for UI for Android.

Releasing Telerik Platform 2.0 in December 2015, Progress revealed that the new platform is created to enable developers to build mobile user experiences with high productivity in a fraction of the time.

With the help of Telerik Platform, developers will be able to access full app development life cycle from a single interface. Moreover, developers will be able to develop, connect, test, deploy and measure the app from that single unified interface.

As a developer, you will be able to integrate cloud services such as push notifications and analytics into the application development process.

Telerik DevCraft also integrates into the API layer to provide developers with a single app ID that works across all services and SDKs integrated with the application.

Telerik Platform 2.0 also includes a beta version of CI build support with a Jenkins plug-in to enable enterprise developers to build cloud apps in their existing continuous integration (CI) workflow.

“Telerik Platform provides a bridge to mobile development for experienced web developers,” said Greg Wiers, IT application development manager at Cianbro, in a statement. “It’s a unified mobile development solution that offers a superior development experience compared to existing development tools.”

Telerik Platform 2.0 also comes with latest updates to NativeScript, a framework that enables developers to create native apps with JavaScript and CSS.

Along with the latest release of Telerik DevCraft, Progress also launched the Verified Plugins Marketplace for NativeScript, adding to its list of open-source plug-ins for Cordova/PhoneGap, further extending cross-platform development support for JavaScript developers.

“The need for synergy between tools and services that support multiple devices, operating systems and business models has never been higher,” said Brandon Satrom, General Manager for Developer Platforms and Tools, Progress.

The company also enabled support for iOS 9, Android 6 (M) and Apple Watch apps in its cloud build services. As a developer, you will be able to build, test and debug these apps using Telerik Platform and its expanded debugging capabilities in Visual Studio.
