My current car is approximately seven years old. I spend a lot for its monthly maintenance. The brakes and other parts are too old that I had to change my travel plans several times. I started to think about buying a new modern car. Nowadays, we can see a plethora of advertisements in newspapers every day about used cars.
However, I don’t have any faith in newspaper classified advertisements since they cannot be trusted. I will not be able to know the background of the current car owner or whether the car has been used for any unlawful activities.
I had visited Quikr website several times and also know about Quikr classifieds through Television commercials. The site is designed in a user friendly manner. I was able to navigate the site easily without any issues.
Quikr Nxt is a powerful messaging system through which you will be able to communicate with seller via chat using either Android app or from your desktop computer. However, you should be aware of the basic working of Quikr before proceeding with Quikr Nxt.
In order to check out listings under car, select Cars & Bikes icon.
You will be able to see a list of all leading car brands such as Maruti Suzuki, Honda, Hyundai and others. It is also possible to refine the search using the type of fuel used. As you will be able to see, the products are divided into several categories and sub categories
If you select “All Brands” link, you will be able to view a list of all available brands listed on the site. You will view a screen as shown below if you select – Hyundai.
As you can see, you will be able to see a wide range of used cars along with the description, screenshot and price. It is also possible to search those cars which are listed in specific city by selecting a relevant city name from the top of the page.
For example, you will view a screen as shown below if you select Trivandrum
You will be able to know the specific location where the owner of the car is residing. By default, the search page displays only one picture of the car. You will be able to view several pictures of the car upon selecting a specific listing as shown below
The individual listing pages provides product specifications such as Insurance expiry date, kilos driven, Fuel type, purchased year and so on. Quikr also provides the cost of the car.
Moreover, you will be able to view a detailed description of the car along with the mobile number of the seller.
With the help of Quikr Nxt, you will be able to communicate with the seller via chat either using Android mobile app or directly from your Windows desktop.
In order to chat with the seller, navigate to the search page and select the green colored Chat Now button. However, you need to login with your Quikr username and password before a chat session.
If you select Chat Now button, a pop-up window will be displayed. You need to provide your name and a short query to begin chat. I was able to chat with the seller by selecting the green coloured Chat now button.
A big advantage of Quikr Nxt is that it provides complete privacy of you mobile number. You can also access the transcripts of all previous chats including the ability to share unlimited photos from the dashboard shown below
You can also interact with the seller directly from your Android smartphone. For this purpose, I installed Quikr app from Google Play Store. You will be able to easily chat with the seller by following the steps mentioned below

- Tap Cars
- You will view a list of all cars
- Select the relevant search result. You will be able to view Chat Now icon on the bottom of the screen.
You will be able to directly chat with the seller by just typing your message on the displayed window
From my point of view, Quikr Nxt will be very useful for those buyers who have difficulty to clearly communicate their requirements via standard methods.I am sure you will find it easy to interact with the seller than using Quikr Nxt through a PC.
In addition to Android app, Quikr Nxt app is also available for iOS and Windows Phone.
I was able to easily clarify my doubts with the seller via Quikr Nxt. The seller also shared few additional photographs other than those uploaded by the seller which helped me to finalize the purchase decision.
