To work with BYJU’S – The Learning App, you need to install it on your Android smartphone or tablet. The app is also available for iOS platform. Hence, if you have an iPhone or iPad, you can install the app from App Store. You just need to navigate to the Play Store and search for the keyword “BYJU”.

The installation process will take few minutes to complete depending upon your Internet connectivity. We installed in less than one minute using Reliance Jio 4G.

You can either select Open button directly after installation or tap BYJU’s Learning App icon from the home screen. Depending upon the number of apps you have installed, you will be required to navigate across pages.

Firstly, you will view a brief animation about the app. You can just read them and select Next button. You will find three splash screen when you open the app for the first time. After a series of initial display screens, you will have to select a course.

As soon as you select a course, you will be presented with a registration page. If you are a new user, you need to sign up for a fresh account. If you already have an account, you can log in by selecting the Login link option from the bottom of the screen.

When you register for the account, you will receive an OTP, which you would need to provide for authentication purposes. If the provided OTP is correct, you will view a dashboard with subject names, mock exams, and previous years’ papers. By default, you will get unlimited access to 15 days.

If you scroll down, you will view popular videos, which you can access by scrolling horizontally. Towards the end of the dashboard, you will find quizzes including access to special content.

For instance, if you select Mathematics, you will view the total number of videos and tests included along with a list of videos which you would need to watch. If you select “Rational Numbers” you will view several subsections.

If you select Play option, the video will start, and you will begin to learn the concepts. If you touch on the video, you will view options for switching to full screen. You need to rotate your smartphone to experience the full power of the video.

The user interface of the BYJU’S – The Learning App looks sleek and intuitive. The videos are played without any lags over the 4G connectivity. We also tested the app via Broadband connectivity and found it butter smooth. We liked the way in which the concepts are presented clearly.

We verified the contents related to Chemistry. The presenter clearly explains the concepts with the relevant points being written on the rear side. Hence, you can not only view the presenter but also read the points associated with the video without referring to complicated transcripts.

The BYJU’S – The Learning App consist of two phases of learning. The Library provides videos related to various concepts associated with science subjects. You can also opt for a guided tour.

If you select a topic after switching to Guided option, it will take few seconds for the app to configure your lesson. You will view a learning tree using which you need to tap on the topic to begin learning. However, the second option will be activated only upon finishing the first lesson. Hence, you cannot skip to a particular lesson without finishing all the concepts from the beginning level.
