Microsoft has introduced a new Bing widget for testing the speed of your internet connectivity. The widget appears when you search for the keyword – speed test. You need to click Start and Bing automatically measures the speed of your connection in relation to latency. It also monitors your download and upload bandwidth including your IP address.
We are unable to view the widget when we checked with the above mentioned keyword. It seems that Microsoft has rolled out this feature in phased manner for testing purposes. We expect Microsoft to introduce the feature globally and will be a permanant feature in the upcoming future.
There are few people who managed to grab the widget and they noticed that it loads quickly. The widget was easy to use than Ookla’s popular speedtest.net since it is just a click away in your search results.
