Amazon India has closed the Alexa Skill Developer Perks Program. The company posted on the Alexa Developer Skill Promotion page that the India Developer Perks Program has ended on December 31, 2019. However, the new developer perks programs for 2020 will be announced by the end of January 2020. Hence, you should keep a close watch on the official page for news and updates by the end of January 2020.
If you had participated in December 2019 promotion, you will receive an update regarding your eligibility within the next 60 days. If you had published two Amazon Alexa skills in December 2019, you will receive a T-shirt and other perks subject to eligibility.
Amazon Alexa includes several skills for various purposes. The company has been urging developers to build skills in return for incentives in the form of T-Shirts, Amazon Gift Cards, and other devices. We had received several T-shirts in the past for our participation in the Developer Perks Program. We look forward to 2020 with great positivity and hope Amazon will throw in plenty of offers in the form of developer perks.
